BASE Arizona BSU Connect Invitation: Civics Matters Arizona - Join us in Washington, DC!

Hello BSU Connect, Sponsors and Parents,

As a community partner with the Arizona Cardinals, we are excited to announce the partnership with the Governor’s office and Close Up for Civics Matters Arizona – an annual civic engagement initiative for students across the state!

I am reaching out because we will be selecting five (5) students from BASE Arizona to participate.

This program will offer a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for students in grades 10 and 11 to participate in an all-expenses paid trip to Washington, DC, for a hands-on civic education experience with 260 other young Arizonians. In order to qualify, we are asking students to write an essay about making a difference in their community (see attached prompts for the essay).
